Now THAT'S the Spirit...

Wow. Hard to believe after all the, uh, not so great stuff we've seen, but this trailer for Frank Miller's movie adaptation of Will Eisner's The Spirit actually looks viewable. I still have no illusions that it will be on par with Sin City or 300, but it now looks MUCH better than other trailers and clips have presented it.

So, that begs the question: Is this just a well cut trailer hiding a really bad film?

I think it's a cover. It looks d**n slick and pretty. But the dialogue and acting seem pretty terrible.

This may be one of those, it's so bad it's good type of movies? Or it may be just altogether awful.

Yeah, I know what you mean... but at least this trailer makes it look like they are going for a tongue-in-check [as opposed to a realistic] take.

It looks too much like D!CK TRACY meets SIN CITY and it's a turn off.
