It's somewhat surprising that guitarist Hazel Payne and bassist Janice Johnson, the ladies who made up A Taste of Honey didn't hit bigger. Didn't this group have a follow-up hit with a remake of Sukiyaki?
I have to be honest...normally, I'm completely adverse to disco music...but Boogie Oogie Oogie is an exception. That and Johnny Bristol's Hang On In There Baby, George McCrae's Rock Your Baby...and anything by Barry White.
That was did follow up with Sukiyaki -- good call. George McCrae's Rock Your Baby and anything by Barry White work for me as well.
