From "Play That Funky Music" we swing over to "Boogie Oogie Oogie" performed live by A Taste of Honey. It's somewhat surprising that guitarist Hazel Payne and bassist Janice Johnson, the ladies who made up A Taste of Honey didn't hit bigger. They could sing, play and wrote most of their own songs... plus they were easy on the eyes.

Didn't this group have a follow-up hit with a remake of Sukiyaki?
I have to be honest...normally, I'm completely adverse to disco music...but Boogie Oogie Oogie is an exception. That and Johnny Bristol's Hang On In There Baby, George McCrae's Rock Your Baby...and anything by Barry White.
That was did follow up with Sukiyaki -- good call. George McCrae's Rock Your Baby and anything by Barry White work for me as well.
Thanks for the post.
